DAILY RITUALS PT 1
What is something you’ve always wanted to do but never had the time for it? You know that it will improve your life and make you happier. Or maybe it would relieve stress and improve your mental health. Maybe it’s something that would increase your income. Whatever it is, you are allowed things to get in the way from doing it.
What if you had no limitations on what you could do? What if you were to start today and heading towards it? I know this is starting to sound a little lofty, but let's pretend for the moment.
First of all, you need to write this down (digital or paper). If you had no limitations, what would you love to do while you are still living on this earth that would bring joy and fulfillment? It could be as small as learning more about home maintenance so you can DIY more. Or you and your significant other want to take up dancing. Frivolous or practical, it can be a lot of work. But, in the words of the famous Zig Ziglar, "If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time". Marvel’s Shang Chi had their own version, "If you aim at nothing, you hit nothing".
Is it written down? It’s important to have it written, so you can see it and refer back to it. Start your journey by making very small steps; turning these micro steps into a daily routine, or weekly routine if needed. If you keep these manageable and consistent, you will be amazed at how much you will grow and learn.
Consistency creates quality. It’s better to keep tiny movements consistent, than big movements intermittent. You’re more liable to get discouraged and quit early if you try to eat the whole pie, or “elephant”.
Just start by writing down what you want to do, and I’ll follow up with you later and see how you are doing.
Have a great week.
